SIRONKO DISTRICT COUNCIL LEADERS BOYCOTT DISTRICT WOMAN MP’S CONSULTATION MEETING ON AGE LIMIT

Sironko district NRM councillors and L.III chairpersons yesterday abstained from a consultation rally convened by area woman member of parliament Hon Nambozo Florence Mayonga on a contentious age limit constitutional amendment.
They accuse the Member of Parliament for reaching out only to people who are known to be in support for the amendment of article 102(B) of the National constitution, which will inturn allow the incumbent president of Uganda His excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to contest again for presidency in 2021 if its successfully amended by Parliament.
Article 102(B) of Uganda national constitution states that aperson above the age of 75 is not eligible to contest for presidency.

Meanwhile Gamwanga Rogers the chairperson LC. 3 of Buhugu Sub County accused the legislator for ignoring their opinions which he says that they also represent the majority in their respective sub counties. He also the team leader of all chairpersons LC.3s in sironko says people in their areas of jurisdictions have boldly said NO to amendment. He also accuses Nambozo of refusing media in the closed meeting which she planned to meet the leaders.
Also Dadiri Gidudu john the chairperson LC.III for Busulani Sub County says some people who were supporting the amendment were not allowed to be part of the meeting and those who were saying no to amendment were blocked from the meeting. He explains that MPs have feared facing the people in their respective sub counties and now resorted to hiding in closed door meetings which he can not allow. He adds that he represents the views of his people who boldly say the constitution shouldn’t be amended.
And Gidongo Fred the district councillor of Buwalasi subcounty  in sironko district says he was shocked to see people carrying play cards with writing ‘’Kugiwambeko’’ meaning lets amend adding that it would be meaningless to mingle in an already pre determined meeting. According to Gidongo 17 out 24 sub county chairpersons and  38 out of 40 councillors in sironko abstained from the consultative meeting.

Nambozo Florence the Sironko district woman says she first met the defiant leaders before the main meeting. She explains that the she invited all leaders regardless of their party affiliations. She says that they complained of intruders in the meeting but she told them that they would scrutinize and only invited leaders will be accepted in the hall.

Bill to Compost Dead Bodies for Fertilizer in America Set to Take effect

Washington could become the first state to embrace another funerary practice by making it legal to compost the dead. The method is called "recomposing" and claims to be cheaper and more environmentally friendly than traditional burial or cremation. It involves rapidly decomposing a body and converting the remains into soil. That nutrient-rich material can then be used to grow trees, flowers, and other new life.
