"Avoid age limit lies" Sironko woman MP to residents.

Nambozo Florence Mayoga the Sironko Woman MP has urged residents of sironko district to desist from listening lies surrounding the ongoing consultations over removal of Age limitation for presidents in the constitution.

 She said that changing the constitution won't mean that M7 will be the life president nor will it change the meaning and power entrusted in the constitution adding that still article 1 of the constitution will still empower the people as power belong to them.

 She explained that youths shouldn't fear because  by removing the presidential age limitations in our constitution  will be favouring the youths.

 She explained this during the consultative meeting with opinion leaders, religious and political leaders from sironko district ushers' community hall in Sironko town council on wednesday afternoon.

 She said regardless of party affiliations and difference in opinions over the matter, Sironko residents must remain united and the district will have to develop by default.

 Early before the meeting, District councillors and LC.IIIs refused to join the meeting asking for a separate session with the MP as they intended to front a general view as sironko district council.

Sironko district NRM councillors and L.III chairpersons yesterday abstained from a consultation rally convened by area woman member of parliament Hon Nambozo Florence Mayonga on a contentious age limit constitutional amendment. They accuse the Member of Parliament for reaching out only to people who are known to be in support for the amendment of article 102(B) of the National constitution, which will inturn allow the incumbent president of Uganda His excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to contest again for presidency in 2021 if its successfully amended by Parliament. Article 102(B) of Uganda national constitution states that aperson above the age of 75 is not eligible to contest for presidency.
