Man Survives Being Lynched Over Rape of Two Year Old Nephew,

A 24 years old man identified as wanyongo Emmanuel a resident of Mangasa village, Bumusabire parish, Bukyabo Sub County has survived being lynched after he was discovered to have rape her two-year-old nephew.
 An eye wittiness Masaba Simon also a resident of the same area said that the saga started when the grandfather to the child had the kid screaming loudly and he went inside the house to check on what had happen,

 ‘’the kid screamed loudly and this prompted the grandfather to run into the house to know why the kid was screaming only to be told by the kid that her uncle had raped her’’, said Masaba.

This prompted the grandfather to such the house only to discover wanyongo hiding under the bed, and he was arrested by the residents upon trying to run away.

 Speaking to Bugisu Nation, the LC1 chairman of the Mangasa village, Masanga Moses confirmed the action and condemned what had happened said such a habit is not good especially it having been done to a minor,

 ‘’This man has really brought shame to our village, it’s not in order for youth like wanyongo to start acting is such a way that is against our values of the society’’. 

Mangasa also revealed that he had previously received reports that wanyongo was also practicing bestiality and residents were just on set waiting to lynch him incase he was discovered in an awful act. 

The LC1 chairperson also said he tried to calm down the angry residents by talking to them to avoid mob justice since it’s against the laws of Uganda as he called the police which swung into action to calm the situation hence the culprit was taken to Butandiga police station in Bukyabo Sub County. He also said that the residents want wanyongo to be imprisoned for life, 

 Meanwhile, he has also questioned all youths and people in his village who have such characters to desist from them because they will be arrest. 

Meanwhile, the police have taken the young girl for a medical checkup and treatment because she had started swelling the stomach and hence has made the resident start fearing for her life.
