Man Survives Being Lynched Over Rape of Two Year Old Nephew,

A 24 years old man identified as wanyongo Emmanuel a resident of Mangasa village, Bumusabire parish, Bukyabo Sub County has survived being lynched after he was discovered to have rape her two-year-old nephew.  An eye wittiness Masaba Simon also a resident of the same area said that the saga started when the grandfather to the child had the kid screaming loudly and he went inside the house to check on what had happen,  ‘’the kid screamed loudly and this prompted the grandfather to run into the house to know why the kid was screaming only to be told by the kid that her uncle had raped her’’, said Masaba. This prompted the grandfather to such the house only to discover wanyongo hiding under the bed, and he was arrested by the residents upon trying to run away.  Speaking to Bugisu Nation, the LC1 chairman of the Mangasa village, Masanga Moses confirmed the action and condemned what had happened said such a habit is not good especially it having been done to a minor,

Manafwa District Council Seeks to Sack RDC and other Heads of Security.

Manafwa district council has   passed a resolution asking the office of the president’s appointing authority and minister of internal affairs to sack or transfer Ahamed Washaki the current RDC of Manafwa district, Denis Gamugisha the district police commander (DPC) and Emanuel Asimwe the district internal security officer (DISO) with immediate effect.    While speaking during the council session Harriet Nandutu the Manafwa district said that the resolution follows the improper conduct which the three district security heads have exhibited to the public and other district leaders. Bill to Compost Dead Bodies for Fertilizer in America Set to Take effect

Washington could become the first state to embrace another funerary practice by making it legal to compost the dead. The method is called "recomposing" and claims to be cheaper and more environmentally friendly than traditional burial or cremation. It involves rapidly decomposing a body and converting the remains into soil. That nutrient-rich material can then be used to grow trees, flowers, and other new life. The alternative practice hinges on a bill that state senator Jamie Pedersen plans to introduce next month, according to NBC. It would legalize recomposing in Washington where burial and cremation are currently the only acceptable ways to dispose of human remains. Bungokho North Member of Parliament Gershom Sizomu Wambede says Ugandans should not bash MPs on issues relating to the payment of social media tax (OTT) and bundles on Ipads that were given to them by government. Sizomu says since they were given Ipads by government, they are supposed to be provided with data and taxes for the social media tax should be paid for them. Sizomu says that if the social media tax was to be paid for MPs personal phones, it would be a different case and the public would justifiably be right to attack the MPs. Bumasikye Subcounty Gets Ten Million In Fundraising Drive

Mbale- More than 10 million shillings was on Saturday raised at fundraising aimed at completing Bumasikye Sub County Offices in Muwanda village, Mbale District. The Sub County authorities have been operating in a rented structure which belongs to a cooperative society. The structure’s roof was recently blown away by rains that pounded the area. This called for completion of new Sub County offices hence the need for the fundraising. Speaking at the fundraising, Trade Minister State Minister Werikhe also the Bungokho South MP underscored the need for leaders at various levels to put their energies in lobbying for services for the people they represent. Werikhe said that many leaders often engage in politicking at the wrong time. He said this leaves many people languishing in abject poverty. Dennis Washirekho the Bumasikye Sub County LCIII Chairperson said they have completion of the Sub County offices will save them from rent fees they have been incurring on a monthly basis.
